We were born out of the Waitangi Tribunal Wai 2522 claim against the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA), building on 40 years of struggle against unjust trade agreements, starting with the Wai 262 claim.

to inform our communities of the impacts of trade agreements and how they stack up against Te Tiriti o Waitangi and to hold the Crown and ourselves to account against the four articles of Te Tiriti.

We create opportunities to connect and engage people

by maintaining strong relationships with affected sectors and Crown entities and engaging, informing and learning from the people through hui and wānanga.

We support Ngā Kaihautū and Ngā Pūkenga, interface with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and other Crown agencies, maintain networks, develop resources and deliver community outreach and events.
